In India, transformation began post-independence but can be traced back to the freedom movements, which also marked the early stages of change. This study explores the evolution of transformation in India, focusing on its diverse impacts, particularly in the fields of science, technology, economics, and culture. The primary aim of the research is to examine the key drivers behind India’s transformation, from the historical context of independence to the current era of digital revolution. The study employs a qualitative research method, analysing historical data, government reports, and technological advancements that have shaped the country. A thematic analysis reveals that while India experienced gradual shifts in its economy, culture, and technological landscape, the most significant changes occurred with the advent of digitalization, which has revolutionized communication, governance, and business. The conclusion highlights that transformation in India continues to unfold, influenced by both traditional factors and new-age technological innovations.
2026-01-12T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Gayatri Sunkad https://ojs.ympn2.or.id/index.php/KPSBSL/article/view/68 Penglipuran village’s cultural traditions and local wisdom shaping a distinctive, sustainable tourist destination in highland Bali 2025-01-22T11:55:47+07:00 Ni Komang Ayu Sumartini ayusumartini.km@gmail.com I Ketut Santra ketutsantra@pnb.ac.id I Made Sumartana madesumartana@pnb.ac.id Dr. Sneha Chaurasiya snehachaurasiya@yahoo.com Hauwa Sani Ahmad hsahmad.lis@buk.edu.ng
Penglipuran Village, located in Bali, has become one of the famous tourist destinations thanks to its uniqueness in maintaining traditional culture and architecture. However, globalization and the dominance of popular culture have led to a decline in young people’s interest in traditional dance. This study aims to describe the preservation process of the Zapin Pecah 12 dance through extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 11 Pekanbaru and to examine the role of this dance learning as a medium for transmitting Riau Malay cultural values. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the Zapin Pecah 12 extracurricular activities play an important role in preserving Riau Malay Zapin art, particularly in the geographical context of Pekanbaru as a transitional area between coastal and inland cultures. The learning of this dance not only preserves the movement forms but also transmits religious values, discipline, togetherness, and Riau Malay cultural identity to the students.

2026-01-25T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Adjie Restu Winata, Andini Eka Hariyani, Ardhita Fahira Putri, Arkhensa Putri Nugianata, Putri Lusiani, Yoga Yolanda https://ojs.ympn2.or.id/index.php/KPSBSL/article/view/70 Balancing benefits and risks of tiktok use: Impacts on children’s cognitive, social-emotional development and digital well-being 2025-01-22T14:50:57+07:00 Desak Putu Suciwati desakputusuciwati@pnb.ac.id Gusti Putu Anom Priadita agusanom94@gmail.com Ratna Dewi Harahap ratna2503dewi@gmail.com Qinghao Wu wqh.1214@163.com Norhayati Mohd Yusof norhayatimy@uitm.edu.my Aondowase Saawuan saawuanaondowase1985@gmail.com
This paper examines the impact of TikTok use among children, focusing on development, behaviour, and digital well-being. The aims are to (1) identify cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioural effects, (2) distinguish positive from negative outcomes, and (3) highlight the role of adult mediation. Using a qualitative literature review of empirical and narrative studies on early childhood and primary school pupils, data are synthesized from classroom observations, interviews, and thematic and content analyses reported in prior research. Analysis clusters findings into educational/cognitive benefits, creativity and self-expression, mental health and behavioural risks, and conditions under which TikTok supports healthy development. Evidence indicates that TikTok can foster creativity, self-confidence, informal learning, and social connection when use is moderate and content is appropriate. However, excessive or unsupervised use is associated with attentional problems, reduced learning focus, social withdrawal, exposure to inappropriate content, poor time management, and signs of digital addiction. The conclusion emphasizes structured limits, active parental and teacher guidance, and digital literacy education to maximize benefits and mitigate harms.
2026-01-26T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Desak Putu Suciwati, Gusti Putu Anom Priadita, Ratna Dewi Harahap, Qinghao Wu, Norhayati Mohd Yusof, Aondowase Saawuan https://ojs.ympn2.or.id/index.php/KPSBSL/article/view/71 Transformation of street-style fried rice into star-hotel cuisine: Innovations in processing, safety, sensory quality, and culinary tourism positioning 2025-01-22T14:52:53+07:00 I Wayan Andika Saputra iwayanandikasaputra@gmail.com Cokorda Gede Putra Yudistira gedeputrayudistira@pnb.ac.id Kasiani Kasiani kasiani@pnb.ac.id Muhammad Ahmad Mazher muhammad.mazher@s.unikl.edu.my Auwal Ahmed Ibrahim Auwal.Ahmed@Kasu.Edu.Ng
This study explores how humble street-style fried rice can be transformed into a premium star-hotel dish by integrating advances in food processing, quality control, and culinary tourism strategy. The aims are to enhance safety and shelf-life, standardize sensory quality, and reposition fried rice as a signature upscale offering. Methodologically, the paper synthesizes recent developments in prepared fried rice technologies, including novel thermal and non-thermal processing, freezing, and quality-monitoring tools, alongside case-based insights from tourism-driven dish upgrading and local rice innovations as culinary icons. Analysis focuses on microbial safety, starch retrogradation, texture, colour, and flavour stabilization, as well as menu standardization, presentation, and branding for tourist and hotel markets. The study concludes that combining advanced processing (e.g., physical field and static magnetic field freezing) with standardized recipes and tourism-oriented branding can elevate fried rice from roadside fare to a consistent, marketable star-hotel dish.
2026-01-27T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 I Wayan Andika Saputra, Cokorda Gede Putra Yudistira, Kasiani Kasiani, Muhammad Ahmad Mazher, Auwal Ahmed Ibrahim
