https://ojs.ympn2.or.id/index.php/KPSBSL/article/view/94

The Vietnamese people represent the essence of Vietnamese culture, embodying unique characteristics that reflect both strengths and limitations. These qualities have been preserved and passed down through generations, shaping a distinct national identity. In the contemporary period of national renewal and integration, there is an urgent need to develop Vietnamese culture and human resources in line with the goals of sustainable development, while maintaining core cultural values. The objective of this study is to examine and highlight Ho Chi Minh’s perspectives on human development, especially the moral and ideological qualities that he believed essential for national progress. It further explores how these ideas can be integrated into current strategies for cultural and human development in Vietnam. This research employs a qualitative method using document analysis. Primary and secondary sources, including Ho Chi Minh’s speeches, writings, and relevant scholarly literature, were reviewed to identify key themes and principles related to human development. The analysis reveals that Ho Chi Minh emphasized the role of humans as both the driving force and ultimate goal of national development. He advocated for the cultivation of ethics, education, labour discipline, patriotism, and international solidarity. These values remain highly relevant in the current globalized context, where Vietnam faces both opportunities and challenges in cultural preservation and modernization. In conclusion, applying Ho Chi Minh’s human development philosophy in contemporary Vietnam offers a strategic foundation for nurturing citizens who are morally grounded, intellectually capable, and culturally confident—fostering national progress while maintaining cultural identity.
Vu Kim Diem Tran Nho HuongPham Linh Chi

https://ojs.ympn2.or.id/index.php/KPSBSL/article/view/132

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style and work environment on employee performance in the Front Office Department of Hotel The Laguna, Nusa Dua. The research background indicates existing issues related to the new leadership style and a perceived unconducive work environment in the department, which potentially affect performance. This research employed a quantitative approach with leadership style (X1) and work environment (X2) as independent variables, and employee performance (Y) as the dependent variable. The study's population consisted of all 30 employees of the Front Office Department at Hotel The Laguna, Nusa Dua. A census sampling technique (saturated sample) was used, where the entire population served as respondents. Primary data were collected through online questionnaires disseminated via Google Forms. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression analysis with the aid of IBM SPSS Statistics version 27 software, preceded by data quality tests (validity and reliability) and classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, linearity). The results indicate that: (1) Leadership style does not significantly affect the performance of Front Office employees, thus Hypothesis 1 is rejected. (2) The work environment positively and significantly affects the performance of Front Office employees thus Hypothesis 2 is accepted. (3) Leadership style and work environment simultaneously (together) positively and significantly affect the performance of Front Office employees thus Hypothesis 3 is accepted.
Eleonora Angelika HandojoLily MarheniI Wayan Siwantara

https://ojs.ympn2.or.id/index.php/KPSBSL/article/view/119

This study aims to evaluate the handling of guest requests in the housekeeping department of RbyA Bali, a five-star resort in South Kuta, Bali. The primary objectives are to analyse how guest requests are managed operationally and to identify the challenges faced by the housekeeping staff in adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). A qualitative descriptive method was employed in this research, using observation, interviews with housekeeping coordinators and staff, and documentation review as data collection techniques. The analysis followed a thematic approach to identify patterns and categories in request handling processes and challenges. The results reveal that while the hotel has a structured SOP in place, there are recurring issues in communication flow, time efficiency, and coordination between departments that affect service consistency. Some guest requests—such as extra amenities, turndown services, or special room arrangements—are not always fulfilled promptly, often due to a mismatch in workforce allocation or lack of digital coordination tools. Despite these challenges, the staff demonstrates a high commitment to guest satisfaction. The study concludes that effective handling of guest requests is crucial to enhancing service quality and maintaining a luxury brand image. Improvements are needed in administrative systems, training, and inter-departmental communication. The findings are expected to support operational refinement and serve as a reference for hospitality students and professionals seeking to improve guest service experiences.
Ni Made Kami Elisa PutriI Komang Mahayana PutraMajid WajdiMuhammad Ahmad Mazher

https://ojs.ympn2.or.id/index.php/KPSBSL/article/view/118

This study aims to analyse the handling and procurement of food and beverage (F&B) products by the Purchasing Department at The Westin Resort Nusa. As a core operational area in the hospitality industry, efficient F&B management significantly influences guest satisfaction and operational costs. The objective of this research is to assess how the purchasing department manages supplier selection, procurement processes, stock monitoring, and coordination with the kitchen and F&B service teams to ensure product availability, quality, and cost-efficiency. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method, using interviews, observations, and documentation as primary data collection techniques. Interviews were conducted with key purchasing staff and F&B personnel to understand workflows, procurement standards, and challenges faced. Observations of daily procurement activities and stock handling were also carried out, along with document reviews including purchase orders, vendor records, and inventory reports. The analysis reveals that the purchasing department plays a pivotal role in maintaining the consistency of raw material quality while balancing cost-effectiveness. Key strengths include a well-established supplier network, digitalized procurement records, and adherence to hotel SOPs. However, challenges were found in managing fluctuating supply prices, occasional delays in delivery, and the need for stronger interdepartmental communication. The study concludes that while the purchasing system is generally effective, it requires continuous monitoring, vendor performance reviews, and integration with inventory systems to enhance real-time responsiveness. These improvements are crucial for sustaining high service standards in the resort’s F&B operations.
Ni Putu Eka PratiwiMade Ayu Jayanti Prita UtamiMajid WajdiSneha Chaurasiya

https://ojs.ympn2.or.id/index.php/KPSBSL/article/view/108

This study aims to investigate the relationship between students' participation in choir extracurricular activities and the improvement of their academic achievement. Extracurricular activities are believed to not only enrich students’ social and emotional experiences but also positively influence their concentration, discipline, and learning motivation, which ultimately contribute to better academic performance. This research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The population includes students actively involved in choir activities at a public senior high school in Bjms. A purposive sample of 50 students was selected for the study. Data were collected through a questionnaire measuring the level of extracurricular participation and documentation of students' latest academic scores. The data were analysed using Pearson Product-Moment correlation with the assistance of statistical software. The findings reveal a positive and significant correlation between the level of participation in choir activities and students’ academic achievement. The higher the frequency and intensity of student involvement in choir extracurricular activities, the better their academic performance tends to be. The study concludes that schools should provide stronger support for extracurricular development, particularly choir programs, as these activities can serve as a means of character building and holistic academic enhancement for students.
Berliana SafitriSherly NurhikmahPutri Dyah Indriyani

https://ojs.ympn2.or.id/index.php/KPSBSL/article/view/121

This study aims to examine the procedure for managing incoming letters using the NADIA (Naskah Dinas InJourney Airports) application at PTAPI. The implementation of the NADIA application represents a shift from conventional manual correspondence to a more integrated, digital-based document management system. The objective of this research is to describe and evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, and challenges of managing incoming correspondence through the NADIA system. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews with key administrative personnel, and documentation review of incoming letters and related correspondence procedures. The analysis focused on stages of the incoming mail process, which include document receipt, classification, digital distribution, and archiving, all facilitated by the NADIA system. Findings show that the NADIA application has significantly improved the traceability, accuracy, and timeliness of handling incoming letters. It allows better monitoring, reduces document loss, and promotes environmentally friendly practices by minimizing paper use. However, several challenges were identified, such as limited training for users, occasional technical issues, and adaptation barriers among senior staff. The study concludes that while the NADIA application enhances administrative efficiency, its effectiveness depends largely on adequate socialization, infrastructure readiness, and continuous technical support. It is recommended that PTAPI improve training and provide user support to optimize the application’s potential and ensure consistent use across departments
Ni Kadek Sinta SeptiadanaI Made WidiantaraMajid WajdiAugustine Etim Effiong

https://ojs.ympn2.or.id/index.php/KPSBSL/article/view/120

This study investigates the procedures for managing contract documents at the Legal & Compliance Unit of PTAPI. The objective is to examine the existing workflow related to the handling and archiving of agreement documents and to identify key challenges, especially concerning the retrieval of signed contracts by business partners. Employing a descriptive qualitative research method, data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with legal staff, and a thorough review of institutional documentation. The research findings reveal that while the unit processes more than 300 contract agreements annually, there is no formalized procedure regulating the timeline for business partners to collect their signed documents. This has resulted in the accumulation of uncollected contracts, physical storage congestion, increased administrative burdens, and reduced staff productivity. Key contributing factors include the absence of an internal standard operating procedure (SOP), lack of enforcement policies or sanctions for delays, limited digital document archiving, and inadequate communication or notification systems directed at partners. The study emphasizes the urgent need for establishing standardized document retrieval protocols, implementing structured deadlines for collection, automating partner notifications, and investing in digital documentation systems. By adopting these strategies, the Legal & Compliance Unit can enhance its administrative efficiency, reduce legal risks, and improve overall service quality. Furthermore, the results offer valuable insights and practical policy recommendations that can be adapted by similar units in other corporate or public-sector environments seeking to improve contract lifecycle management.
Ni Kadek Wanda Maheswari PertiwiNi Ketut LasminiMajid WajdiShiva Raj Ghimire
