Ethical Principles
Kajian Pendidikan, Seni, Budaya, Sosial dan Lingkungan (KPSBSL) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies to authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

Authors’ Responsibilities
1. Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original works. Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification, is unacceptable. Proper citation of all sources is mandatory.
2. Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously or publish redundant content.
3. Authorship of the Manuscript
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study. All contributors must be properly acknowledged.
4. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the research outcomes.
5. Data Access and Retention
Authors should be prepared to provide raw data for editorial review if required and retain data for a reasonable time after publication.

Editors’ Responsibilities
1. Publication Decisions
Editors are responsible for deciding which manuscripts are accepted for publication based on academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
2. Fair Play
Editors evaluate manuscripts without regard to race, gender, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
3. Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and publisher.
4. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Editors must not use unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript for their own research without written consent from the author.

Reviewers’ Responsibilities
1. Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer review assists editors in making editorial decisions and helps authors improve their manuscripts.
2. Promptness
Reviewers who feel unqualified or unable to review promptly should notify the editor.
3. Confidentiality
Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
4. Objectivity
Reviews should be conducted objectively, with clear and constructive arguments.
5. Acknowledgement of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.
6. Conflict of Interest
Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves if necessary.

Ethical Oversight
The journal will investigate any allegations of ethical misconduct following COPE procedures. Corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern will be issued when necessary.

Plagiarism Screening
All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with significant similarity will be rejected or returned to authors for revision.

Retraction, Correction, and Expression of Concern
The journal reserves the right to retract published articles in cases of proven ethical violations, plagiarism, or major errors. Corrections or expressions of concern may be issued to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

Complaints and Appeals
Authors may submit complaints or appeals regarding editorial decisions. All complaints will be handled transparently and in accordance with COPE guidelines.

This publication ethics statement is periodically reviewed and updated to align with international ethical standards.
